 Interbase Client/Server v6.0.1.6 InstallShield Pro 6.0 Notes

This installation script was written and compiled using 
InstallShield Pro 6.0 using the Embedded Installation Guide 
on ibinstall.defined.net.

This script and executable have been tested on Win98, win2K,
winNT 4.0 and winXP.

This script also uses ntservice.rul which was written by Troy
Engel and can be found on www.installsite.org.

set up in the installation project.

UDF Example - contains all files in %Interbase%\examples\udf

Command Line Tools - iblockpr.exe,gfix.exe,gsec.exe,gstat.exe,gback.exe,isql.exe
                     Destination is %Interbase%\bin

Header Files - contains all files in %Interbase%\include

IBConsole - IBConsole.exe,IBConsole.hlp,IBConsole.cnt in %Interbase%\bin

IBHelp - contains all help files for IB, install in %Interbase%\bin

IB Security DB(never overwrite) - isc4.gdb,isc4.gbk in %Interbase%

IBServer Support - ibconfig, license.txt, license.htm in %Interbase&

IBClient GDS - gds32.dll in %WINSYSDIR%

IBClient MSG - interbase.msg in %INterbase%

IBClient Support DLL - msvcrt.dll in %WINSYSDIR%

IBServer Program Files - ibserver.exe, ibguard.exe, ib_util.dll, gdsintl.dll
                         in %Interbase%\bin

Import Library - ibinstall.lib,ib_util.lib,gds32.lib in %Interbase%\lib

IBManager - ibmgr.cpl in %WINSYSDIR%

UDF Files - ib_udf.dll in %Interbase%\udf

Setup Types:

The Client/Server Install has only two setup types (in setup types
pane): InterBase client/Server and InterBase client.

The Server Setup should have Interbase Server, Interbase client and
Interbase Client Support checked as a minumum.

The Client Setup should have Interbase Client and Support checked.
